Arsenal news - Barca still keen on Fab, Adebayor taunts former club again, Wenger wants Barca youngster
Every morning A Different League searches the nations press to bring you the latest goings on at Arsenal. Today:

Barca still keen on Fab.
The Daily Mail is reporting that Barcelona are keeping their famous No.4 shirt vacant for the impending arrival of Cesc Fabregas. Officials at the Catalan giants are convinced that Arsenal's refusal to sell their 23-year-old captain has only delayed his arrival at the Camp Nou by a year. Fabregas' Spanish international team-mate Xavi said of Fabregas' rumoured arrival: “If the signing has not happened this year, it will happen next.” Fabregas has recently spoken out on the transfer saga, claiming Arsenal kept him in north London against his will.
Adebayor taunts former club again.
Former Arsenal striker Emmanuel Adebayor has taunted the Gunners, claiming that new employers Manchester City are now bigger than the reds from north London. The 26-year-old Togolese striker, who spent three years at Arsenal, believes the Citizens are capable of leaving Arsenal in their wake this season. Speaking to Sky Sports, he said: “If we can win ten games in a row, people will class Manchester City as bigger than Arsenal.” It is not the first time Adebayor has upset Arsenal fans, almost inciting a riot after scoring against his old club and taunting the fans during a 4-2 City win in September 2009.
Wenger wants Barca youngster.
Arsene Wenger appears to be lining up an attempt to sign Barcelona youngster Oriol Romeu. The 18-year-old had an impressive season in the Catalans reserve side last term, and it was originally believed he would be promoted to the first team this year. However, the signing of Javier Mascherano appears to have limited his chances in the senior side. Spanish daily Sport reports that the youngster is yet to hold talks with the Spanish outfit over a contract extension, and Wenger appears to be ready to make a move should a new deal fail to be agreed.
