Every morning A Different League searches the nations press to bring you the latest goings on at Arsenal. Today:

Cahill price rise.
Transfer target Gary Cahill will now cost the Gunners a whopping £17.5m should the wish to pursue a deal, reports The Daily Mirror. The Bolton defender's England debut in the 4-0 Euro qualifying win over Bulgaria triggered a clause in his contract which adds at least £2.5m to the player's valuation. He had signed a new contract at the Reebok Stadium last year which included a £15m escape route. Arsenal are thought to be among a host of clubs keeping tabs on Cahill's status, along with the likes of Manchester United and north London rivals Tottenham. Cahill is expected to win his second cap for England in tonight's qualifier in Switzerland.
Shawcross vs Wenger.
Stoke City defender Ryan Shawcross has hit back at Arsene Wenger's claims that he and team mate Robert Huth used "rugby tactics" in a recent match with Tottenham. Skysports.com is reporting that Shawcross feels the Gunners gaffer is pursuing a personal vendetta against him, after Arsenal youngster Aaron Ramsey suffered a broken leg after going in for a tackle with Shawcross last season. The 22-year-old Potters star told The Sentinel: "I don't mind people having their opinions, but if it's not a game involving his players then I don't see the point of bringing up me and Huthy. He's obviously got something against me. It's just weird. He brings my name into it. I've watched the video again and at no point did I go anywhere near [Spurs keeper Heurelho] Gomes."
Wilshere set for England return.
Talented teenager Jack Wilshere looks set to return to the England U-21 fold tomorrow night for their encounter with Lithuania. The 18-year-old made his senior England debut in the friendly win over Hungary last month, but is being recalled to Stuart Pearce's side as they need a victory to stand any change of qualification for the Euro Championship playoffs. Wilshere was left on the bench for the previous U-21 clash with Portugal as he had been involved in an incident at a London nightclub a few days previously. Speaking to The Daily Mirror, Pearce said: "Leading into the Portugal game, he was swapping phone calls with his agent and one to two other people in regards to the newspaper articles which were going on. We just did not feel it was right to start him in Portugal."
