Every morning A Different League searches the nations press to bring you the latest goings on at Chelsea. Today:

Laudrup in cancer shock.
Former Chelsea player Brian Laudrup has been diagnosed with cancer at the age of just 41. The Dane joined Chelsea in 1998 and injuries limited him to only a handful of Premier League appearances for the club before he headed home again. He did, however, memorably score in the Cup Winners Cup against Copenhagen. Laudrup has a form of lymphoma and he is determined to overcome the illness: “I am obviously shocked by the diagnosis, but also know that there is now a tough battle ahead of me - a battle I will win. Fortunately, I have had very optimistic reports from doctors to support me. I now want to use my energy to get over the shock and take time with my family and those closest to me, so together we can move forward after this diagnosis.”
Blues in for Jesus Navas.
According to EastSleepSport, Carlo Ancelotti is interested in signing Spain’s Jesus Navas. The winger could be available for a cut-price transfer in January after contracts between him and his club Sevilla broke down. Navas has been with Sevilla for the entirety of his career but he almost joined the Blues in 2006 before changing his mind. The 24-year-old has also reportedly caught the attention of Barcelona and Real Madrid so Chelsea may face competition in their efforts.
Capello warns England Duo.
According to tribalfootball.com , Fabio Capello has warned John Terry and Frank Lampard that their England places are not safe. With the Chelsea duo absent due to injury, the England manager tried out a number of different options and he has hinted that Terry’s centre-back position could be under threat and he also praised the form of Lampard’s midfield rival Steven Gerrard: “For a long time Steven Gerrard has played for Liverpool as a second forward but this year he is playing as a midfielder. In this position Steven is playing fantastic. He is strong in every moment and always good. He wins back the ball and then when he does, his passes are really important passes. I also do have central defensive options. (Phil) Jagielka is good, Rio (Ferdinand) is good, Joleon Lescott played very well. John Terry is another important player. Lescott played before he was injured. Jagielka was the same. It is good for me to know more players and about the confidence of the players. They played very well in both games."
