Man Utd news - Fergie happy with attack, Neville respects 'Pool tradition, Evra to appeal
Every morning A Different League searches the nations press to bring you the latest goings on at Man Utd. Today:

Neville respects 'Pool tradition.
Gary Neville has admitted that he has some respect for Liverpool's "tradition". The two clubs meet a week on Saturday and the famously scouse-hating Neville has sought to diffuse some of the tension before it gets started. He told The Daily Mail "Liverpool have got a good history, you have to hand it to them, and they've been successful." However, United's club captain could not resist a jibe at the renewed rivalry with local rivals Manchester City, saying about Liverpool "I have more respect for them as a club in a sense of their tradition and their history than I do for some other clubs who've been coming on the scene in the last few years, throwing a load of money at it."
Evra to appeal.
Manchester United left-back Patrice Evra has lost his appeal against a five match ban from his national side. Following the French side's calamitous World Cup, Evra - captain at the time - was given a ban for his role in the farcical scenes at the tournament. A Statement on the French Federation website said "The Appeals High Commission, which met today to consider the appeal by the player Patrice Evra, has decided to confirm the five-match sanction for non-selection by Team France," Evra defended his position, saying through his lawyer that "he undertook his role in a transparent, honest way, each time trying to smooth things over between the players and the staff". France Coach, and former United centre back, Laurent Blanc will now be without Evra until a friendly against Brazil on February 9th next year.
Fergie happy with attack.
Sir Alex Ferguson has declared himself more than happy with his striking options. New signings Javier "Chicarito" Hernandez and Bebe join up with established stars Wayne Rooney, Dimitar Berbatov, Michael Owen and youngster Federico Macheda. Ferguson told The Sun "In terms of numbers, it's the best strike force since 1999. I'm sure they will all get their chance." Any comparison with the hallowed treble winning squad is sure to excite any United fan, but Ferguson seems happy to set the level of expectation high with the resources he has at his disposal.
