Norwich v Swansea: Preview and team news

By Tim Doel

Saturday 15 October 2011

Carrow Road will be the venue for a clash between two of the newly promoted clubs, although you wouldn’t know it by looking at the league table. Both sides occupy mid-table positions, 9th and 10th, level on eight points.

Norwich will be pleased with their last performance, if not the result when they travelled to Old Trafford, eventually being defeated 2-0 by Manchester United, but they did worry the Premier League champions. Swansea meanwhile come into the game on the back of a 2-0 victory over Stoke City, and welcome back Leon Britton to the squad after injury, although he is likely to be on the bench for this fixture.

For Norwich Andrew Crofts plays despite coming off injured for Wales in the week, Zak Whitbread will be vying for a place as a substitute, but if available will not be fit enough to start. Daniel Ayala and James Vaughan are still out.

Probable line-ups

Norwich: Ruddy; Naughton, R Martin, Barnett, Tierney; Bennett, Fox, Johnson, Pilkington; Hoolahan; Morison

Swansea: Vorm; Rangel, Williams, Monk, Taylor; Dyer, Allen, Gower, Routledge, Sinclair; Graham
