Bolton vs Stoke: Prediction and betting tip

By Bryan Waters

Sunday 06 November 2011

These two met in last season’s FA Cup semi-final where the Potters dismantled the Trotters 5-0 at Wembley. Owen Coyle’s Bolton have not won a game at the Reebok Stadium so far this season and will need to re-arrange their home form if they want to survive.

Bolton are in 19th in the league and need a win on Sunday to kickstart their season after a poor display last weekend away at Swansea, where they were beaten 3-1. Stoke travel to the Reebok after a midweek trip to Israel to take on Maccabi Tel-Aviv, where they won 2-1. Tony Pulis’ side were beaten by the unbeaten Newcastle United 3-1 on Monday night and their fatigue thanks to a trip to Israel could be tested at the Reebok Stadium on Sunday. Bolton could get their home form on track and take advantage of the tiredness in the Stoke squad to win 2-1.

Smart money: Bolton 2-1 Stoke - £10 bet wins £105
