Redknapp vows to attack Man City

By Bryan Waters

Saturday 21 January 2012

Tottenham boss Harry Redknapp has insisted his side will go on the offensive against Manchester City and believe they can take three points, The London Evening Standard reports. A win for Spurs would not only see them draw two points closer to the league leaders, but would snap City's perfect league record at home this season.

Redknapp has taken a team to the Etihad Stadium and won in the past, when Spurs qualified for the Champions League thanks to a 1-0 win. A disappointing 1-1 draw at home to Wolves left them five points behind City in the table and Redknapp is keen to get back to winning ways. Spurs have only lost once in their last 19 games and Redknapp has told his squad to attack City and show their attacking talent no respect.

The Spurs boss said: 'City are not invincible. We've got players who can hurt them and we're going up there with a winning attitude. We can go there, play really well and they will know they've had a game. I wouldn't want to go and sit back, we've got people who can hurt them. We want to go there and come away with a result.'

Spurs defender Younes Kaboul has reiterated his manager's thoughts earlier this week by saying that the North Londoners are not scared of City. Kaboul is in line to keep his place in the side after an impressive season, but Spurs will perform a fitness test on captain Ledley King after a six-week lay-off with injury.
