West Brom vs Reading - Match preview and team news

Friday 21 September 2012

Reading will be looking for their first victory of the season on Saturday when they travel to the Hawthornes to face West Brom.

Brian McDermott's side have played a game less than most other sides in the league, but will still be disappointed to find themselves in 19th position, with just one point.

They will try to get their first win of the campaign against a West Brom side who sit just three points behind league leaders Chelsea, following impressive wins over both Merseyside clubs.

For the Baggies there will be no Peter Odemwingie, who misses out through suspension, with Markus Rosenberg or Romelu Lukaku poised to come in for the Nigerian. Marc-Antoine Fortune should also keep his place in attack. Steven Reed is set for a return after a spell out with a hamstring injury.

For Reading, McDermott could go for an unchanged line-up to the side that were defeated 3-1 at home to Tottenham on Sunday, meaning Adam Le Fondre continues to partner Pavel Pogrebnyak in attack.
