Arsenal news - Eboue next on Barca list, Assulin in Gunners link, Taylor to replace Gallas

By Tim Doel

Monday 24 May 2010

Every morning A Different League searches the nations press to bring you the latest goings on at Arsenal. Today:

Eboue next off to Barcelona.

Barcelona are looking to find cover for Brazilian right-back Dani Alves in the form of Arsenal man, Emmanuel Eboue, accoridng to Spanish daily Mundo Deportivo. It remains to be seen if Arsenal will do business with Barcelona after already being set to lose star-player Cesc Fabregas to the Catalan club.

Arsenal in for Assulin.

In a move going the opposite way, Israeli midfield playmaker Gai Assulin, could make a free transfer move from Barcelona to Arsenal, after finding first team opportunities hard to come by at the Nou Camp. A similar style of player to Lionel Messi, Assulin has been linked by Spanish newspaper Sport with a move to England, the teenager is ready to leave Barca.

Taylor linked with Arsenal transfer.

With Arsenal set to lose France defender William Gallas in the summer, the Metro reports that Arsene Wenger is ready to move for Newcastle United's Steven Taylor. Taylor's recent dispute with teammate Andy Carroll, as well as new wage restrictions could mean that the centre-back could be offloaded by the newly promoted side, with Arsenal in prime position to benefit.
