Campbell considering Celtic move.
Arsenal defender Sol Campbell is ‘seriously considering’ walking out on Arsenal for the second time, favouring Scottish giants Celtic. According to The Mirror the English defender has said he is “impressed” after talking with Celtic interim manager Neil Lennon. He is also considering a number of offers from a few unnamed clubs - a reported one year deal by Arsenal is also on the table. Sol Campbell has been in good form for the Gunners since rejoining them from a one game stint at Notts County, and recently expressed his dismay at not being selected in the England World Cup squad.
Wenger wants £8m French defender.
Arsene Wenger is considering an £8m move for French defender Laurent Koscienly, according to the Daily Mail. The 24 year old has been in superb form for Lorient, helping them achieve a seventh place finish in Ligue 1 this season. The centre back is eligible for Poland and France, and is reportedly catching the eye of Raymond Domench and new France boss Laurent Blanc.
Hleb warns Fabregas against Barcelona move.
Ex-Arsenal star Alexandre Hleb has told Cesc Fabregas he will regret a move to Spanish champions Barcelona. According to The Sun, the Belarusian said the Spanish star should stay at the Emirates and fight for the title next season. “He is a very good player who must make his own decision about his future. But I would advise him to stay.” This comes after Hleb made the same move 3 years ago, and was unable to establish himself at the Nou Camp.
