Wednesday 02 November 2011

League Two side Hereford United have bolstered their striking options with the capture of Fulham youngster Richard Peniket on a one-month loan deal.

The 18-year-old striker, who has represented Wales at Under-19 level, arrives at Edgar Street with the side struggling for goals with just 13 goals in 16 games.

Manager Jamie Pitman had the chance to run the rule over the 6'3 striker after he featured in a reserve clash against the Glenn Hoddle Academy yesterday afternoon.

Peniket is a regular in the Cottagers' academy side and has also made one appearance for the club's reserve team.

He started his career on the books of League One side Walsall but moved to Craven Cottage in 2009 amidst interest from Manchester United.
