Málaga would double Higuaín's salary

Málaga are prepared to double Gonzalo Higuaín’s salary if the Argentine striker is prepared to leave Real Madrid for the Costa del Sol, claims Marca.

A number of clubs have shown an interest in the 24-year-old, including, Juventus, Napoli, Paris Saint-Germain, Manchester City and Chelsea, and his future at the Santiago Bernabéu is far from guaranteed after being overlooked by boss José Mourinho on numerous occasions in favour of Karim Benzema this season. In spite of that, ‘El Pipita’ has scored still scored 20 league goals and his brace against Osasuna at the weekend saw him reach 100 goals in a Madrid shirt.

However, Málaga appear to have joined the queue for his signature if he does decide to depart the Spanish capital and would have no problems putting a significant offer on the table, while even prepared to double his wages.

Although Manuel Pellegrini’s side are fourth in La Liga the Chilean is aware he needs much more firepower up front if Los Blanquiazules are to become a force in European football, and Higuaín fits the bill perfectly for the Qatari-owned outfit.
