Everton vs Norwich - Match preview and prediction

Inconsistent Everton host high-flying new boys Norwich City at Goodison Park desperate to erase their recent poor form.
Everton committed promising youngster Ross Barkley to a new long-term deal earlier this week and he should be involved in the squad to face the Canaries. More good news for the goal-shy Toffees is the imminent arrival of striker Landon Donovan. The Toffees were beaten by a wonder strike from Robin Van Persie at the Emirates Stadium last weekend and will look to regain form at Goodison Park. David Moyes could see the return of midfielders Jack Rodwell, Leon Osman and Royston Drenthe. Rodwell and Osman have been suffering from hamstring injuries and Drenthe has been injured with a foot problem.
Norwich beat in-form Newcastle United 4-2 at Carrow Road last weekend to cement their place in the top half of the table. Paul Lambert has his side playing confidently and they have been good on the road in Merseyside, picking up a point against Everton's close rivals Liverpool earlier this season. The Canaries have no fresh injury worries and are expected to keep the same team that beat Newcastle. Norwich goalkeeper John Ruddy returns to Everton with a point to prove against the side who gave him one appearance in five years at the club.
Norwich have been filled with goals so far this season and apart from the top five, they have scored the most goals in the league. Everton have been poor in front of the net and if Norwich retain their performance from last week, they should beat the Toffees. Everton need inspiration from somewhere or else they face problems against the Canaries.
