Miyaichi completes Arsenal loan exit to Bolton

Wednesday 01 February 2012

Arsenal midfielder Ryo Miyaichi has completed a loan move to Bolton Wanderers for the remainder of the season, reports The Telegraph.

The 19-year-old Japanese winger joined Arsenal in 2010, after impressing Arsene Wenger during a summer trial with the club. After signing, he almost immediately joined Dutch side Feyenoord on loan, where he impressed with 3 goals in 12 appearances. In the first half of this season, he remained at Arsenal, but has found his opportunities limited by the emergence of Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain. Thus far, he has only made two appearances for the Arsenal first team, both of these coming in the League Cup.

Speaking on Miyaichi, Bolton boss Owen Coyle said, “He had a great spell on loan at Feyenoord last season. He’s a young player with tremendous promise and potential, and hopefully at Bolton we can give him a platform on which he can display his qualities.”
