France wait on M'Vila injury news

Thursday 31 May 2012

France coach Laurent Blanc faces an anxious wait on the fitness of defensive midfielder Yann M'Vila, after the Rennes midfielder came off injured just five minutes into their clash with Serbia on Thursday evening.

The 21 year old, who has recently been heavily linked to a move to the Premier League with Arsenal, was involved with a clash with Dusan Tadić, appearing to injure his calf. He then left the pitch two minutes later in tears, replaced by Alou Diarra, and had to be consoled on the bench by teammates.

M'Vila has been capped 19 times for Les Bleus, and the seriousness of the injury will be assessed by medics for the national team in the coming days.

There are just 11 days until France kick-off their Euro 2012 campaign against England, and if M'Vila is unable to be part of the squad, Blanc will still be able to bring in a replacement.

Check out the Euro 2012 odds and get some tips on the European Championships betting.
