Chelsea considering double Arsenal swoop for Walcott and Sagna

Chelsea’s summer rebuilding process could see the club look across London for two more new faces, with Arsenal’s right-sided pair Theo Walcott and Bacary Sagna said by the Metro to be on the shortlist.

The Stamford Bridge side have already sealed a deal for Marko Marin, the Germany midfielder, while Belgium’s Eden Hazard is widely expected to follow suit. But after the departures of Jose Bosingwa and Salomon Kalou the Blues are reported to be in the market for new faces on their right flank.

Sagna, right-back, joined Arsenal in 2007, moving to the Premier League from Auxerre, and has gone on to make more than 200 appearances for Arsene Wenger’s side. Last season the 29-year-old suffered two serious injuries that limited his playing time to only 29 club games, with the latter blow ruling the France international out of Euro 2012.

Walcott has been at Arsenal since January 2006, moving as a teenager from Southampton. The England international, part of his country’s Euro 2012 squad, has 220 Arsenal appearances to his name and 42 goals, including 11 efforts in 45 games last season.

Have my doubts about this...why would Chelsea want Walcott when they have Sturridge and have also just signed Marin...doesn't make sense...getting old that the media tries to link every other player to chelsea each time the transfer window opens!

No way will Sagna leave us to go to Chelsea you can see the man has too much respect for the club and everything they do for him I.E helping him recover from 2 broken legs in one season. Walcott will not go either! He seems to enjoy playing for us and he enjoyed his goal against Chelsea more than any other this season. Also I think he owe's us because we gave him his big break into the premier league. If either of them leave they will join the same catagory as Ashley Cole, Nasri and the rest that have left for a rival.

What a load of complete rubbish. Wallcott would not get in our reserve team and Sagna has a broken leg.The metro s only use is as bedding and toilet paper of the homeless
