Chelsea face competition for Hulk
Chelsea’s signing of Porto’s Brazil striker Hulk may not be as straightforward as it first appeared after the player’s agent revealed there were a number of club interested in his client, according to the Independent.

The Blues had been linked with a £38m move for the forward and there seemed little competition for the 25-year-old’s signature, but his agent, Teodoro Fonseca, has warned that not only could Chelsea miss out on the player to another team, Hulk could yet remain at Porto.
Fonseca said: “[Chelsea] are not the only European club interested and at the moment it all depends on Porto. If Hulk stays in Porto then there is no problem as he is happy in Porto.” Fonseca added that he is in regular contact with the Porto president and that the club had offered Hulk a new contract to extend his stay at the Estadio do Dragao.
Hulk has been with Porto since 2008, moving to Portugal after a tour of clubs in Japan. He began his Japanese tenure on loan at Kawasaki Frontale in 2005, a move which was eventually made permanent. Hulk then spent time on loan at Consadole Sapporo and Tokyo Verdy, moving to the latter full-time in 2008, shortly before switching to Porto.
