Everton linked to Man City pair Johnson and Milner

England internationals Adam Johnson and James Milner could make the short trip from Manchester City to Everton, but only if David Moyes has money to spend from selling Marouane Fellaini and Leighton Baines, the Daily Star has reported.

Fellaini has been linked with a move to Champions League-winners Chelsea, who are said to crave the Belgian’s physical gifts, while Baines, an international colleague of Milner and Johnson, is reportedly being pursued by both Manchester United and Napoli. If the duo were to leave Goodison Park, the Star estimates Everton would receive a combined £35m.

Moyes is however under no pressure to sell, but is aware that if he does not then he will have very little money to spend otherwise. The newspaper believes that if the in-demand Toffees do move on, then Milner and Johnson, both midfielders, would be high on Moyes’ shopping list. The manager would however face competition from Liverpool for Johnson, while Milner may remain out of his price range.
