M'Vila interested in Arsenal move

Sunday 17 June 2012

Rennes midfielder Yann M’Vila has admitted for the first time that he is interested in a move to the Premier League, especially Arsenal, The Mirror reports.

The Gunners have so far refused to match the asking price of the French club, which is reportedly £17m, but are still confident they can land M’Vila. The 21 year old is currently away at Euro 2012 with France, but has been suffering from injury which has seen him yet to start for Les Blues. M’Vila is expected to start against Sweden in France’s final group game and Arsenal fans will be excited to see what their future signing looks like.

M’Vila said: “I have heard Arsenal are interested in me. I like Arsenal and I like the Premier League. I don’t know what is happening with the clubs, but yes, I would be interested in the Premier League and Arsenal”.

Arsenal face competition from German giants Bayern Munich, but Wenger is keen to add to his midfield and sees M’Vila as a great addition. Gunners defender Laurent Koscielny believes that M’Vila would shine in North London and wants the club to compete the deal as quickly as possible. The Rennes midfielder has been likened to ex-Gunners legend Patrick Vieira and has fantastic vision, as well as being strong on the ball in the centre of midfield.
