Modric agrees Real Madrid deal

Friday 22 June 2012

Luka Modric has got his move away from White Hart Lane according to suggestions from the Spanish press.

ITV have reported that Real Madrid will sign the Croatian for a fee of £30 million, rising to £35 million.

Speculation about the midfielder’s future had been rife and this story seems to suggest all the talk is over and the player will be wearing white again next season, this time in Spain.

Modric has just finished international duty with Croatia at Euro 2012, after they were knocked out in the final round of games in their group. But despite his country not qualifying the playmaker has been praised for his performances once again.

Arriving at Tottenham in 2008, Modric has gone on to play 130 games for the club, getting 13 goals in the process. But it is not his goals that make him such a sought after player but his ability to control a game with incisive passes. He came close to signing for rivals Chelsea last summer but that deal failed to materialize.

"Modric agrees Real Madrid deal",I wonder if anybody has told Daniel Levy ? as I reckon he might have something to say . There is no way any selling will be done until the new manager is in place,so lets leave the made up stories to CBeebies .

Bbb or whatever your multi-posting name is.I'm in Asia and I can show you kids in Spurs kit. In fact right now I'm in Myanmar and Spurs kits are very popular here. Its a pleasure watching Spurs play and they have a tradition and huge following all over the world. Sp stop spouting off with the limited knowledge you have.

How many times have the spicks written crap in their newspapers, fuckall happens and you arseholes believe them? If Levy sanctions the deal then so be it, at least the little ugly rat wont go up North to old red nose or to the chavs in West London and it would be the first time the daily fail get one right.

At least the deal seems done early so whoever the next manager is will have time to buy . Modric is classy but for me doesn't score enough goals for a centre midfieder . Isn't it something like 130 games, 13 goals in 3 seasons - not good enough. I realise his assists are probably high but not in the same bracket as Bale , Walker , Lennon and even Ade last season - I guess we have to wish him well and use the cash to buy players who want to play for the club ! We survived Gazza leaving and he was ten times the player Modric is . Let's hope we get a decent manager in and move forward together - I am hoping for Blanc but will support the club however , this is just part of being a Spurs fan , that's why no one can every call Spurs fans glory hunters cos we will be there through thick and thin !
