Chelsea and Man City warned off Cavani
Premier League duo Chelsea and Manchester City have been told that Napoli have no intention of selling striker Edinson Cavani this summer, the Daily Mail has reported.
Both the Champions League winners and the Premier League title holders have been linked with a move for the Uruguayan but Napoli have insisted Cavani is not for sale at any price. The Napoli sporting director, Riccardo Bigon, added that not only was there no amount of money that could induce the club into selling Cavani, but that Cavani was not interested in leaving anyway.
Cavani has scored 66 goals in 94 games for Napoli since joining the club from Palermo in 2010, helping the Partenopei into the Champions League in 2011-12 and to victory in the Coppa Italia in 2012, scoring a penalty against Juventus in the final, a match Napoli eventually won 2-0. Cavani was also part of the Uruguay side that finished fourth in the 2010 World Cup and won the Copa America in 2011.
