Man Utd and Chelsea to fight for Lucas Moura
Manchester United and Chelsea are preparing to fight it out for the signature of Sao Paulo midfielder Lucas Moura, with ESPN reporting that a fee in the region of £30m will be needed to bring the 19-year-old to the Premier League.
Moura’s father, who also acts as his agent, has already met with Serie A side Inter over his son’s future, while La Liga champions Real Madrid are also said to be keen on the teenager. Inter are said to have already had a bid rejected by Sao Paulo last season and are thought to be readying a new offer of around £20m.
ESPN adds that Chelsea have already had an offer of £32m rejected while United hope to seal the transfer before the start of the London Olympics. Moura is already a full Brazilian international, winning 15 caps since making his debut against Scotland in March 2011. Moura scored his first international goal that same year, netting against Argentina in September 2011.
