Ramis set to snub Wigan for "a new and very interesting offer"

Saturday 28 July 2012

Mallorca defender Ivan Ramis has stated he will leave the club this summer, but long-term suitors Wigan may not be the club to land him, reports the Daily Mirror.

Wigan have long chased the 27-year-old, but the player has now suggested he has better options elsewhere.

"I have played my last match for Mallorca because there is a new and very interesting offer for me. Wigan is not the best proposition for me," he explained.

Newly-promoted West Ham have shown interest in the player, but it is unclear whether he is talking about the Hammers or not.

Priced at £4m, Ramis represents solid business having been such a consistent performer since coming through the youth ranks at Mallorca in 2004.
