Suarez desperate for Liverpool Premier League glory

Sunday 19 August 2012

Liverpool striker Luis Suarez has warned that his target is bringing back domestic glory to the Reds after 22 seasons without the title and stated that ‘I usually get what I want’, Goal.com reports.

Last season, the Reds finished eighth in the table and endured a tough campaign on and off the field with Suarez facing negative press for his involvement in a racism row with Manchester United’s Patrice Evra. Suarez saw his side start poorly against West Brom on the opening day, eventually losing 3-0, and the Uruguayan missed a hatful of chances for his side. However, Liverpool are looking to get back on track against Manchester City next weekend and Suarez has fired a warning to the Premier League that he is looking to lead Liverpool up the table.

Suarez said: “If you ask me now what am I dreaming of for the rest of my career, I would tell you it is a championship with Liverpool. That is all I want – and usually I get what I want. I have a lot of self-confidence about this now, but before I joined Liverpool, I can admit this now, I was nervous. Now, I am so happy at Liverpool”.

The 25 year old has impressed at Anfield since his arrival in January 2011 from Ajax and has already won the Carling Cup with Liverpool. Suarez has set his eyes on bigger things with Liverpool, a team he has admitted he used to play on his Playstation football game, and now wants to win glory for real with the Reds. The task will be tough for Suarez, but the Uruguayan is confident about his side and is delighted with the way his career is going.
