Every morning A Different League searches the nations press to bring you the latest goings on at Arsenal. Today:

Chamakh thanks Blanc.
In his first major interview since arriving at Arsenal, Marouane Chamakh has revealed that his idol - former Manchester United defender Laurent Blanc - helped him secure his dream move to Arsenal. Speaking to the Daily Mail, the 26-year old - who has had an impressive start to life at the Emirates - said of the current France national coach: “When I ended up working with him at Bordeaux, it was brilliant. He was the fourth coach in my time there, and he was the one who really pushed me to improve. I worked with him for three magnificent years and I think my real development as footballer was down to him. It's fair to say the fact that I'm now an Arsenal player is down to his advice and his experience as a player.”
Wilshere learns from Fab.
Arsenal and England youngster Jack Wilshere has told the Telegraph that he is happy to take advice from World Cup winning captain Cesc Fabregas. The pair have much in common, not least the fact that they both debuted for Arsenal – and indeed scored their first respective goals – at the tender age of just 16. Wilshere said: “Watching Cesc when he was younger and I was younger was the perfect opportunity to learn from him. Around the training ground he is helpful and when he is on the pitch he is telling me things to do. He tells me that I am not going to play every week, like he did, and that I have got to break through slowly and then get hopefully get in [to the team].”
'Keeper to snub Gunners.
Goal.com reports that Arsenal goalkeeping target Maarten Stekelenburg looks set to snub north London for a move to rainy Manchester. The 27-year-old Dutch keeper has been on Arsene Wenger’s radar since the Frenchman’s move for Mark Schwarzer fell through, but looks set to miss out on another of the stoppers on his wishlist. However, any move is believed to be on hold for at least a year, as the keeper does not wish to relocate in the January transfer window. Arsenal have recently been linked with moves for Anders Lindegaard and a renewed approach for Mark Schwarzer after Wenger came under fire at the shareholder’s Q&A for not completing the capture of a stopper to replace inconsistent Manuel Almunia or Lukasz Fabianski.
