Arsenal news - £32m triple swoop, Gunners in for Spanish striker, Wenger: Must be more clinical
Every morning A Different League searches the nations press to bring you the latest goings on at Arsenal. Today:

Wenger: Must be more clinical.
Arsene Wenger has insisted that Arsenal had Chelsea on the ropes yesterday despite coming up short. The Gunners crashed 2-0 at Stamford Bridge to lose their fifth consecutive match against the Blues, despite controlling the match for significant periods only to crumble at critical moments. Wenger admitted that his side cannot win the league title until they become more clinical in both attack and defence.
According to The Telegraph, Wenger said: “The game should have been over before we started it. We had the first two chances in the first minute. I don't know how we managed to miss a header from six yards. You have to be more clinical to win championships. You cannot win championships like that.”
Gunners in for Spanish striker.
The Gunners have set their sights on bringing in hardworking Mallorca star Emilio Nsue, according to The First Post. The 21-year-old striker has been loaned out to CD Castellon and Real Sociedad over the past couple of seasons, before finally establishing himself at his parent club since his return. He has started all five of their games this season, and yesterday scored his first goal for Los Bermellones in the 1-1 draw with Barcelona. Nsue also scored twice for Spain U-20s at last year’s World Cup, and has represented Spain at all levels from U-16 upwards. Being eligible to play for Equitorial Guinea due to his father’s nationality, he rejected the chance to represent their senior squad last year, opting instead to join the Spanish U-20 squad.
£32m triple swoop.
The Guardian is this morning reporting that Arsenal have several names on their wish list as Arsene Wenger attempts to quell the ground lost in this season’s title race already. The paper claims that the Gunners are lining up a £32m triple swoop to bring Schalke keeper Manuel Neuer, Borussia Dortmund centre-back Neven Subotic and Ajax full-back Gregory van der Wiel to the Emirates in January. Neuer is the man being tipped to eventually replace Manuel Almunia, though teamtalk.com is also stating that Fulham stopper Mark Schwarzer has refused to commit to the Cottagers, potentially paving the way for a January move to north London after one of the summer’s ongoing transfer sagas.
