Arsenal news - Wenger keen on future PSG role, Fabregas won't give up on "dream" Barca move, Ramsey latest

By James McLean

Thursday 14 October 2010

Wenger keen on future PSG role.

Arsene Wenger has refused to rule out a future role at Paris St. Germain – but claims it will not be in a coaching capacity. The Frenchman signed a contract extension with Arsenal which keeps him at the Emirates until 2014, but talk still travels about a potential swap from Gunners dugout to Les Parisiens’ boardroom.

According to the Mail Online, the 60-year-old said: “It's not impossible, but it wouldn't be in a coaching role. PSG is the only club in the world which is based in an area of 10million inhabitants and doesn't have any competition (from a rival club). What needs to be done is to get a group of investors around the table to provide the club with some financial muscle.”

Ramsey latest.

Aaron Ramsey has taken the final step towards full recovery from a horrific leg break back in February, according to The Telegraph. The Welsh youngster has begun training with a ball again, and could be back in Gunners’ first team action as early as next month.

The 19-year-old said: “I'm just doing my pre-season work now, trying to get a bit of spring back but apart from that all is going well so far. I think I'm on track, I think the target is November time. It feels great to be back outside and kicking the ball around again.”

Fabregas won't give up on "dream" Barca move.

Goal.com today carries a report that Cesc Fabregas has acknowledged rumoured interest from Jose Mourinho’s Spanish giants Real Madrid – but has refused to give up on his “childhood dream” of moving to Barcelona.

The 23-year-old World Cup winner, who was chased throughout the summer by his boyhood club, insists his priorities remain at Arsenal, though he does hope to play for the Catalans in the future. Speaking to Cope.es, he said: “My answer in that moment was Barcelona and I still think that I wasn't wrong because it is a dream I have had since I was a child. I am happy about the whole episode. It couldn't be, but I still think it was a good opportunity. I am happy at Arsenal, I have a leadership role.”
