Winners and Losers: Costa doing the business for Chelsea

Barely a factor in last year’s Premier League title race, Chelsea are after three games this season’s team to beat. It was a summer of quiet revolution at Stamford Bridge and Jose Mourinho’s new standard bearer, Diego Costa, confirmed with two goals against Everton he is ready, willing and able to lead the attack. It was a ruthless performance in front of goal from the Blues. They had less of the ball than the hosts and fewer shots b...More

Arsenal make late attempt to sign Remy

Arsenal have attempted to beat Chelsea to the signing of Queens Park Rangers striker Loic Remy by meeting his £10.5m release clause, according to the Daily Telegraph. On Saturday, it had looked as though Chelsea had wrapped up the signing of Remy by agreeing a deal with QPR. The move to Stamford Bridge is still close to being confirmed although a medical is still to be completed, but Arsenal have provided Remy with another option. T...More

Everton manager Roberto Martinez has warned Chelsea striker Diego Costa to improve his behaviour after he was involved in a number of confrontations during the the London club’s win at Goodison Park on Saturday, reports the Guardian. The Spain international scored the first and last goals of a remarkable 6-3 victory for the visitors, but was also a prominent member of several ill-tempered moments. Many of those incidents took place w...More

Torres set for two year Milan loan

Chelsea flop Fernando Torres appears set for a two year loan to Italy and AC Milan after the two clubs agreed a deal, the BBC has reported. The Spanish striker has struggled during his time at Stamford Bridge and will look towards Italy to try and rediscover the form that made him one of the most deadly strikers in Europe. The move is subject to personal terms being agreed and the player passing his medical, as Milan look to replace...More

QPR and Chelsea in Loic Remy talks

QPR striker Loic Remy has been given permission by his club to hold talks with London rivals Chelsea, according to Sky Sports. Remy has wanted a move away from Loftus Road all summer and was close to joining Liverpool back in July, only to see the deal collapse after the player allegedly failed his medical. It is also thought that the Frenchman has turned down the chance to join Newcastle, where he spent last season on loan, on a pe...More

Everton vs Chelsea - Premier League preview and team news

After winning their opening two Premier League matches, Chelsea face arguably their first significant test of their title credentials when they travel to Goodison Park to take on Everton. Toffees boss Roberto Martinez will be massively disappointed that his side only have two points from their first two games, when they could easily be level with Chelsea on six after losing leads late on in both. They ran out of steam badly agains...More
