Man Utd to receive fewer tickets from Liverpool and Everton

Manchester United will receive fewer tickets for away supporters when they travel to Merseyside next season, as both Everton and Liverpool will be ordered to cut the allocation handed to United supporters over safety issues, according to the Liverpool Echo.

The local council’s licensing committee was called into to adjudicate after the Ground Safety advisory group reported concerns about United supporters frequently standing or blocking passageways at both Goodison Park and Anfield. The allocation for United supporters travelling to Anfield has been trimmed in the past but it would be the first time it has also happened across Stanley Park at Goodison.

Everton meet United in the first round of Premier League fixtures on August 20, a Monday evening kick-off. If the cut in the allocation goes ahead there would be around 200 fewer United supports in the away section, housed in the Bullens Road side of the ground.

At Anfield on September 23, a Sunday afternoon, there would be slightly fewer than 2,000 visiting fans when the usual total would be slightly over 3,000.

The Manure fans constantly stand at ALL games and have been allocated the lower level at THFC so they don't fall out of the top tier. As home THFC fans, we are constantly told to sit down or the club could lose their licence so I would ban them totally from AWAY games. That is the only way the arrogant Mancs will learn.

would this merit a story if it was fulham* fans recieving a smaller ticket allocation? (sorry fulham fans, feel free to replace with a respectively smaller club of your choice)
