Coventry City striker Clinton Morrison is set to leave the midlands club, after announcing his availability on his Twitter page.
His post read: “Hey all, well here’s my news.. looking for a new club! have enjoyed my time at ccfc, but new gaffer has new ideas. peace and love!”
The Republic of Ireland striker is out of contract in the summer, and recently told the Coventry Telegraph that “The manager (Chris Coleman) has said he wants me to stay and I want to stress that I want to stay but the club have not offered me anything yet… I am the club’s top goal scorer and it has been really bugging me.”
Coventry then sacked Coleman on 4th May, and appointed Aidy Boothroyd as manager on 20th May, but it appears now that the manager and club have decided not to offer the seasons top scorer a new contract.
