Man City news – Bellamy linked with Cardiff move, Onouha set for Newcastle, Redknapp rules out Ireland bid

Bellamy linked with Cardiff move.

Craig Bellamy has been linked with an astonishing move to Championship side Cardiff City today, according The Mirror, who claim the Welsh forward has set his sights on a move ‘home.’ The Welsh side are keen to sign the forward on loan or convince the club to cancel the contract of Bellamy, rumored to be worth £4m a year. The striker has also been linked with a realistic move to Everton today according to the Guardian.

Onouha set for Newcastle.

Another player who could be set to Leave the City of Manchester stadium is Nedum Onouha, who today has been linked with a £3.5m move to Newcastle United. The Sun claims United boss Chris Hughton will splash half his transfer budget on the City defender following Danny Simpson’s injury. The Citizen’s defender could move to St James’ to get his career back on track after struggling with injury and losing out to the mega-bucks spent at City.

Redknapp rules out Ireland bid.

Harry Redknapp has reportedly ruled out a summer swoop for Man City’s want-away midfielder Stephen Ireland, who according to Sky Sports is also a target for Aston Villa. Ireland is said to be unhappy with life at City and desperate to get first team football elsewhere but Redknapp claims he has enough strength in depth in his position. Redknapp told the Spurs official magazine: “Stephen is undoubtedly a very good player but we have a lot of players who can fill that position. I like him but he won’t be a target,”
