Man Utd news – Aguero deal unlikely, Berbatov will stay says Fergie, Utd start season without best players

Every morning A Different League searches the nations press to bring you the latest goings on at Manchester Utd. Today:

Man Utd to start season without World Cup players.

Sir Alex Ferguson has revealed that none of his World Cup players will beging the season with Man United, as he wants to give them a rest to ensure they are fit for the whole season, reports the Telegraph. “We will give those players 28 days off after their last game so I intend to start the season without them.”

Berbatov won’t be leaving says Ferguson.

Bulgarian striker Dimitar Berbatov will not be sold in the summer according to Sir Alex Ferguson. Reported in the Mirror, Ferguson lamented the over-the-top media scrutiny at Manchester United before confirming that Berbatov’s future lay at Old Trafford. “There’s speculation every year and we’ve got to live with that hype. We know Dimitar is a good player and he will be with us next year.”

Aguero no-go?

Manchester United have been told to end their interest in Atletico Madrid forward Sergio Aguero, according to the Daily Mail. Rumours have been circulating that Man Utd were willing to meet Aguero’s minimum release fee of £52m, but Atetico President Enrique Cerezo refused to even acknowledge that possibility: ‘We are not aware of any offer from Manchester United and it is typical of the rumour mill in England. Kun (Aguero) is now concentrated on giving his maximum at the World Cup.’
