Tottenham news – Gould claims Spurs move, Pienaar latest, O’Hara to West Ham

Every morning A Different League searches the nations press to bring you the latest goings on at Tottenham. Today:

Morgan Gould in Tottenham hint.

South African defender Morgan Gould has revealed that a move to the Premier League with Tottenham Hotspur could be on the cards. SuperSport United’s Player and Players’ Player of the Season, who also picked up Player of the Year in the Premier Soccer League of South Africa, said: Well, I can’t really say much, but there have been enquiries (from Tottenham) and I will hear from them when I will be receiving an invite to go that side. Most definitely I want to play overseas next season and this could be a step closer for me, you know. So, yeah, I will work towards that goal.” The 27-year-old will not play any part in the World Cup due to a knee injury.

West Ham want Jamie O’Hara.

Jamie O’Hara has not hidden the fact that he would like to move away from Tottenham if he is not part of the first team. And according to reports in the newspapers this morning, new West Ham manager Avram Grant will re-unite with O’Hara at the London club, following their personal successes at Portsmouth. There is no price currently suggested, although another loan deal for the season could be a possibility.

Pienaar future unclear.

Steven Pienaar has hinted that his future may lay away from Goodison Park, alerting the attention of Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur. Pienaar will be available on a free transfer at the end of next season, so the club may decide to cash-in on the player to avoid risking him leaving on a free next year. Speaking to the South African media he said: “we have differing valuations, so my future isn’t clear. I don’t know. Everton may keep me for the last year of my deal. But they could sell me too. If they decide to sell, and the move is correct for my career, then I’ll consider it. Hopefully this hasn’t been my last season at Goodison. But in football, who knows?”
