Spurs set for exchange plus money move for Young.

Tottenham are looking to do a cash plus players deal to bring Aston Villa winger Ashley Young to White Hart Lane, according to a report on Caught Offside. The players that boss Harry Redknapp is willing to offer, could be any or all of Roman Pavyluchenko, Robbie Keane and David Bentley.

Spurs manager Harry Redknapp is delighted to have signed-up the Italian to another year at the club, in a move that made a deal for Portsmouth stopper David James, allt the more unlikely. He told the official website “He has been brought up in the game – his father was a great goalkeeper at AC Milan and Carlo is exactly the same, a top-class person and professional.”

Tottenham’s planned redevlopment of White Hart Lane is in doubt, according to a report in The Times. The problems occur because the current plans would demolish four listed buildings. The club now plan to produce a scaled-down plan that would not require the demolishment of those listed buildings.
