Spurs to up interest in Pienaar.

Tottenham Hotspur have said they are willing to increase their interest in Steven Pienaar, according to FansFC. With only a year left on his contract at Goodison Park, David Moyes must consider selling the South African international otherwise he could leave on a free transfer next summer. Pienaar has said he was disappointed with Everton’s season, fuelling further speculation he might be leaving the Toffees this summer. Harry Redknapp is believed to be keen on bringing the 28-year-old to White Hart Lane to strengthen his midfield for next season’s Champions League.

Tottenham target ready for move.

Olympique Lyon midfielder Jean Makoun is said to be a target of Harry Redknapp for next season. Arsenal and Juventus are also reportedly interested in the Cameroon international and after a disappointing season, Makoun has admitted to L’Equipe that he may leave the French Giants this summer: “After no title it is quite difficult. So, even though I have two years remaining on my contract at Lyon, I don’t reject any hypotheses because it didn’t go smoothly at Gerland this season.”

Upson move could be on.

Matthew Upson could be leaving West Ham this summer despite being offered a new three-year deal. Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester City are both rumoured to be interested in the services of the England international for the next Premier League campaign, despite him turning 32 during next season. West Ham co-owner David Sullivan spoke to the Daily Mail on the subject: “We keep hearing the agent may have done a deal with a bigger club. I can’t say who but I wish they’d get on and make an offer.”
