Arsenal in for “new Messi”.

According to the Mirror, Arsenal lead the growing list for ‘the new Lionel Messi.’ The Israeli midfielder Guy Assulin is a free agent this summer and the Gunners look set to battle it out with Manchester City for his signature. The 19-year-old Barcelona playmaker is said to be keen on working with manager Arsene Wenger, if the deal goes ahead.

Gunners in race for Richards.

Arsenal look to go into battle with North London rivals Tottenham to sign Micah Richards from Manchester City. According to various reports the English defender is able to leave Eastlands for a figure of £9m, as the mega-rich club look to sign high-profile defenders. The ex-England international is seen as an ideal replacement for the outgoing William Gallas.

Valencia youngster turns down Arsenal chance.

15-year-old starlet Francisco Alcacer has play down talk of a move to Arsenal, pledging his future to Valencia. The striker recently caught Wenger’s eye after impressing at U17 European Championships, taking Spain to the final. “I am pleased to hear of the interest from big clubs but my heart is with Valencia. He told Sky Sports. “My future is with Valencia and the club shares my ambition.”
