Arsenal sign Ebecilio.
Arsenal have signed Kyle Ebecilio from Feyenoord according to Dutch website RTV Rijnmond with the transfer due to be announced by the club on July 1. The Gunners are thought to have hijacked a deal for the youngster to join Chelsea, with the first-team opportunities available at the Emirates proving the decisive factor. The highly rated attacking midfielder would follow in the footsteps of Robin van Persie should he join from the Rotterdam club.
Have Gunners signed Toure.
Yaya Toure looks to be heading to England, with a deal to join a Premier League club next season already agreed. His agent Dimitri Seluk stated: “We can’t talk about definite clubs. We already have a closed deal, and all will be resolved before the World Cup.” Wenger is a known admirer of the midfield enforcer, but his capture is unlikely to form part of any deal for Cesc Fabregas after the Gunners announced that they “will not make any kind of counterproposal or enter into any discussion” over the Spaniard’s future.
Fabgregas fit again.
Cesc Fabregas returned to action for Spain in their 1-0 win over Korea Republic. In his first game back since the Champions League semi-final exit at the hands of potential suitors Barcelona, the Spaniard managed to last 60 minutes as his recovery continues. Despite lacking match fitness, he started the match and was the standout performer in a mainly second string XI, and was only denied a goalscoring return when his curling shot clipped the crossbar in the 35th minute.
