The midfielder is set to move on a free transfer, after Chelsea were not prepared to offer the midfielder a new deal. The ex-West Ham player is set to have turned down a number of Premier League clubs including Manchester United, West Ham and Tottenham.

Gunners face challenge for Gourcuff.

Arsenal face serious competition from Lyon to secure the signature of French star Yoann Gourcuff. The French team are looking to ‘break the bank’ for the Bordeaux playmaker, according to the Daily Mail. Although there is serious competition, the French star is said to be favouring a move to North London as his playing style would fit football in the Premier League.
