Forlan won’t rule out move.
Tottenham target Diego Forlan has said his future is out of his hands and will be decided by his current club Atletico Madrid. Juventus are also believed to be interested in the Uruguayan forward, but whether the Spanish club choose to part with their star striker is still uncertain. Forlan was quoted at IMScouting.com as saying: “I have a contract for three more years at Atletico and I am very happy there, with the club, with the quality of life I have. If they receive a good offer they will consider it.”
Spurs in for Kjaer.
In a report by The Mirror, Tottenham Hotspur, Manchester United and Manchester City are all after the same man in Danish defender Simon Kjaer. German club Wolfsburg are also in the chase for the Great Dane, who will only leave Palermo for a sum of £12.5 million. The president of the Sicilian club admitted: “A couple of quite important offers have come in. We are discussing them, then I will call the player. I think that in the end Kjaer will leave.”
King fit for Germany.
Ledley King returned to England training for the first time yesterday, since sustaining a groin injury against the USA. It was feared the injury would rule him out of the competition, but the Spurs man’s hasty recovery means he could be fit to play in the Quarter Finals. Before Fabio Capello can even contemplate King as a starting man, England must first defeat the Germans in the Last 16 on Sunday.
