Every morning A Different League searches the nations press to bring you the latest goings on at Tottenham. Today:

Spurs move for Kjaer and Cavani gets go ahead.

Palermo President Maurizio Zamparini will accept Tottenham’s £28m combined offer for Simon Kjaer and Edinson Cavani. Both players are currently on international duty at the World Cup but could be on their way to White Hart Lane after the tournament is over. Zamparini told TMW: “Tottenham are supposedly interested in making a €35 million (£28m) offer for both players. If the side are actually able to make such an offer as this, I will let the two players leave.”

Baptista rumours.

Julio Baptista is just another transfer rumour to be whispered down the corridors of White Hart Lane, according to FansFC. Harry Redknapp knows he must strengthen his side ahead of the Champions League next season, and the Spurs boss is believed to be keen on signing an experienced player like Baptiste. The Brazilian international currently plays his football at Roma, but has played at a number of high profile clubs around Europe including Sevilla, Real Madrid and Arsenal.

Redknapp hopeful on Cole.

Harry Redknapp has spoken with Joe Cole’s agent in a bid to bring the Chelsea man to White Hart Lane. After failing to agree a new contract at Stamford Bridge, Cole is available as a free transfer. The Spurs boss was in charge of West Ham where Cole made his professional debut and hopes the bond they had at one London club can be rekindled at another. He told The Sun: “We’ve declared our interest in Joe to his agent but that is as far as it has gone.”
