Every morning A Different League searches the nations press to bring you the latest goings on at Tottenham. Today:

Spurs in surprise Iaquinta move.

In a report by The Sun, Juventus striker Vincenzo Iaquinta could be moving to Tottenham this summer according to the player’s agent. The 30-year-old is currently in South Africa with Italy but could be on his way to the Premier League this summer where he would like to end his career. The Turin-based club will not be in the Champions League next season after finishing seventh in the Serie A, while Spurs are on the hunt for players to bolster their European campaign after breaking into the top four last season.

Redknapp wants Tottenham stay.

Harry Redknapp has rubbished rumours of a possible move to Liverpool and has promised he will remain with Tottenham next season, according to goal.com: “I have one year left on my contract at Tottenham and I am not thinking about anything other than being at White Hart Lane next season.” Redknapp’s contract with Spurs expires at the end of next season and he has yet to be approached by Chairman Daniel Levy to secure his future at the club: “I have not been offered a new contract but that doesn’t mean I am looking to move on. I am loyal to Spurs, I want to stay.”

No Agbonlahor bid.

Tottenham’s bid to bring Gabriel Agbonlahor to White Hart Lane has been scuppered by Aston Villa, according to Birminghammail.net. Reports yesterday suggested the Villa striker was a prime target of Harry Redknapp’s this summer, who was willing to pay £10m plus Robbie Keane for the player, but the Birmingham club have dismissed the rumours that Agbonlahor will be allowed to leave.
