Spurs set to complete Gudjohnsen move.

Tottenham Hotspur are ready to sign Eidur Gudjohnsen from AS Monaco according to Goal.com. The 31-year-old was on loan at White Hart Lane from January 2010 but may be making a more permanent move to London this summer. The Iceland international previously spent six years with Chelsea but looks as though his allegiance lies with Spurs as Manager Harry Redknapp hopes the deal can be wrapped up within the next fortnight.

Redknapp wants new contract.

Harry Redknapp has just one year left on his current contract with Tottenham but hopes a new agreement can be settled soon. The Spurs boss is keen to talk to club Chairman Daniel Levy in order to secure his future. He told the Telegraph: ‘I have only got one year left and I expect to talk to Daniel and I am sure we’ll get something sorted out.’ Spurs had unprecedented Premier League success last season under Redknapp, finishing fourth and securing a place in the Champions League.

Carlton Cole to Spurs?

Tottenham are believed to be interested in the services of West Ham’s Carlton Cole according to a report by The Daily Star. The 26-year-old striker has been linked with other clubs in the past including Arsenal, Birmingham, Stoke and Liverpool but Harry Redknapp is believed to have made an early enquiry. The club’s co-owner David Sullivan has said every player is available to be sold this summer, with the exception of midfielder Scott Parker.
