Every morning A Different League searches the nations press to bring you the latest goings on at Tottenham. Today:

Keane looks set for midlands move.

Birmingham City may beat Aston Villa to signing Robbie Keane, according to the Daily Mirror. The news comes after City failed to sign Palermo’s Fabrizio Miccoli and must now look elsewhere to prepare their forward line for next season. Keane, who went on loan to Celtic last season, has become surplus to requirements at White Hart Lane and is likely to leave the club this summer, although whether he will join one of the West Midlands clubs he is still uncertain.

Spurs target Holland youngster.

Spurs are just one of several Premier League clubs keeping a close eye on Dutch winger Eljero Elia this World Cup. The 23-year-old impressed in his country’s opening match against Denmark and is considered one of Holland’s brightest young stars. Elia currently plays his club football for Hamburg but could be on his way to England this summer in a lucrative deal from any number of mega-rich clubs. The winger is believed to be target of Harry Redknapp who is looking to strengthen his squad ahead of the Champions League next season.

Redknapp says Brazil overrated.

Spurs boss Harry Redknapp has said Brazil are “over-rated” at this World Cup and England are never going to have a better shot at the title. The five-time World Champions are favourites to lift the cup, after Spain’s shock defeat at the hands of Switzerland in Group H. Redknapp told Talksport: “We sometimes over-rate these people and I think we’ve got as good a group as anybody and it’s a great chance for us.”
