Wenger returns to start transfer season.

With Wenger returning to London this week after spending the last month in South Africa, Arsenal look to set to step up their chase in their transfer targets. Fulham goalkeeper Mark Schwarzer and ex Chelsea star Joe Cole will be the head of that list according to the Telegraph. The two players have been heavily linked with the North London club, as they look to build their squad for the new season.

Henry makes New York move.

Arsenal legend Thierry Henry is set to join New York Red Bulls this week according to a report by the News of the World. The Frenchman is expected to be unveiled at a press conference this week, after wanting to leave Barcelona after playing a bit part in Barcelona’s season last year. The 32 year old remains a hero at the Emirates after scoring 174 goals in 254 games, between 1999 and 2007.

Eduardo snubs Gunners.

Arsenal has missed out on their number one goalkeeping target, Eduardo, as he has joined Italian side Genoa in a £4m deal. Portuguese keeper Eduardo, who only conceded one goal in the World Cup, said he preferred to be guaranteed a first choice start. The player’s agent Joe Donkor confirmed: “It is flattering to know of Arsenal’s interest, but Genoa made it plain they really, really wanted Eduardo and he is delighted to have signed for them.”
