Arsenal news – Zapata wants Gunners move, Eduardo to Valencia, Fabregas plays down Barca links

Eduardo to Valencia.

Valencia have set their sights on Arsenal striker Eduardo, to join their new look team for next season. According to Goal.com the Croatian looks set to fill the hole left by David Villa and Nicola Zigic, as they build a new squad for the Champions League. The player, who returned from a broken leg last year has not returned to the dazzling form, which may be the deciding factor in him leaving the Emirates.

Zapata wants Gunners move.

Arsenal target Christian Zapata has opened the door for a move to Arsenal, after his agent claims he wants to play in the Premier League next season. Massimo Italiani told Calciomercato.com the Colombian is flattered by the show in him by the English giants. “It’s nice to hear that Arsenal are interested in the player.” He later went on to say that a number of clubs will be fighting it out for the defender. “Several Italian clubs are also interested in Zapata but, for the time being, I have not received any offers from Italy or England.”

Fabregas plays down Barca links.

Cesc Fabregas has begged fans forgiveness after appearing in a Barcelona shirt, in Spains world cup party according to the star. His Catalan counterparts Gerard Pique and Carlos Puyol forced the jersey over his head, which was quickly taken off by the midfielder, and the player has also been quoted as talking about his time at Arsenal in the past tense.
