Ancelotti interested in Balotelli.

Chelsea have also entered the race to sign Inter forward Mario Balotelli, with boss Carlo Ancelotti declaring his interest in the forward to Italian Sky Sport 24. He told the network: “It is difficult to find a player so young with such qualities, even in England is hard to find players at this level.” Chelsea face a battle to land the 19-year-old forward from Inter however, with both Manchester sides and Arsenal looking at the striker who Milan have slapped a £35m price tag on.

Lukaku deal closer.

Chelsea have been boosted in their attempt to sign Romelu Lukaku, after the Anderlecht wonderkid was photographed in a Chelsea shirt at Stamford. The pictures posted on Facebook will please Blue’s boss Carlo Ancelotti who knows he faces competition from Real Madrid, Arsenal and AC Milan for Lukaku. The 17-year-old has been dubbed the ‘new Drogba.’ The Blue’s have insisted the 6ft 4ins forward was only at the ground on a stadium tour. Valued at £8-10m by the Belgium side, it is believed the club are determined to hold onto him for as long as they can.

Chelsea want Mutu banned.

Chelsea have reportedly asked FIFA to ban former striker Adrian Mutu until he pays the club the £14m he was ordered to pay following the cancellation of his contract in 2004. Mutu is currently serving a separate 9 month ban for drug use and his agent is attempting to negotiate a deal between the Blue’s and the Romanian forward who he claimed is unable to afford the multi-million pound fine.
