Ozil keen on Blues move.

German star Mesut Ozil is keen to join Chelsea or Manchester United, according to Goal.com. The 21-year-old has just one year remaining on his contract at Werder Bremen and has shone as part of the German squad in South Africa. Ozeil told The Sun: “You look at what Manchester United and Chelsea have achieved over the last five years and you see it would be easy to be successful at two clubs like that. I see what Michael Ballack achieved at Chelsea and the quality of players he played with and the temptation becomes obvious. Trophies are what matters to me. There are two teams in England always at the top and of course that’s attractive. But the same is true for La Liga.”

Benayoun deal completed.

Reports in Israel today claim Yossi Benayoun has agreed a four-year-deal with Chelsea, subject to completing a medical at the Bridge. The Jewish Chronicle reports the Israel captain will join the blue’s for a reported 6.5m from rivals Liverpool and will be paid a reported 70 000 per week. A Liverpool players since joining for 5m from West Ham in 2007, it is believed Roy Hodgson’s first move was to agree to the sale.

Terry and Gerrard at loggerheads.

Sources close the England squad have rubbished online rumours suggesting Chelsea skipper John Terry was at war with Liverpool and England captain Steven Gerrard. Reports yesterday suggested the pair had split the England camp over various allegations. The Mirror claims Terry did confront the Liverpool skipper but only to clear the air following rumours Gerrard was unhappy at comments made by Terry to the press.
