Kuyt is currently preparing for the final in South Africa, where his Dutch side will come up against Spain. Kuyt’s words will bring relief to many fans who appreciate his extraordinary efforts in matches.

Hodgson positive over Gerrard.

Roy Hodgson has spoken to Liverpool skipper Steven Gerrard and believes that the midfield maestro will stay at Anfield this summer. Gerrard is being eyed up by new Real Madrid boss Jose Mourinho and a bid is thought to be imminent, however Hodgson feels that the conversation between himself and Gerrard was positive and that the player showed no indications that he wanted to leave the club. Nevertheless, there will be some nervousness amongst the fans until Gerrard comes out and publicly commits his future to the club.
