Manchester City have re-signed goalkeeper Stuart Taylor, nine days after being released by the Premier League side, according to the BBC. Taylor made one appearance for City last term and missed the end of the season with a knee injury. Having signed a two-year deal with the club, Taylor joins the fight with Shay Given and Joe Hart to be City’s number one.
Etuhu arrest latest.
City striker Kelvin Etuhu was arrested after three people were injured in a dispute at a casino, reports the Daily Mail. The 22 year old, who spent last season on loan at Cardiff City, was held on suspicion of wounding and is due to answer bail next week. Police were called to the 235 Casino in Manchester, after reports of a disturbance. Two men, 24 and 26 years old, and a 23 year old woman were taken to hospital for treatment. Another man, Leonard Rico Richards from Longsight aged 27, was arrested along with Etuhu.
Villa doubts Torres City move.
Hotshot striker David Villa sensationally said that strike partner Fernando Torres would never join Manchester City, the Daily Star reports. The striker believes that the Liverpool forward is obsessed with trophies, not money. Speaking ahead of the World Cup final, Villa said: “He isn’t money focused, so he would never join Manchester City. Barcelona and Chelsea would be real options for him”.
