Tottenham news – Dos Santos swap to bring Djalo, Juve renew interest in Bale, Richards rules out Spurs

Every morning A Different League searches the nations press to bring you the latest goings on at Tottenham. Today:

Dos Santos swap to bring Djalo.

Tottenham’s Giovani Dos Santos is wanted by Sporting Lisbon according to reports in The Mail. Lately Spurs have been interested in Sporting’s Yannick Djalo and Dos Santos may be used in order to tempt them into a deal. The Spurs youngster had an outstanding World Cup with Mexico and Harry Redknapp has urged him to focus on his career and put his social life on the backburners.

Juve renew interest in Bale.

Juventus are continuing to vie for Tottenham’s Gareth Bale according to Tuttosport. After an impressive season with Spurs, and with a deal for other target Royston Drenthe looking unlikely, Juventus have turned their gaze back in the direction of White Hart Lane and Bale. A €20m price tag has been slapped on his head if they are to have any chance of tempting him away, but it is unlikely Spurs will let their prized left winger go any time soon.

Richards rules out Spurs.

Manchester City defender Micah Richards has ruled out any chance of a move to Tottenham according to the Manchester Evening News. The 22-year-old has a difficult season ahead of him and will have to battle for his place in the starting line-up with new signing Jerome Boateng. “I’m getting sick of reading rumours about myself. What will be, will be. If we play, we play. If we don’t, we don’t. All you can do is knuckle down, give 100 per cent and hope you get in the team.”
